Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to be accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of human and/or material resources, and to support effective business practices for Women and Children’s Business Unit.

About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to be accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of human and/or material resources, and to support effective business practices for Women and Children's Business Unit. Accountable for promoting effective and cost-efficient management of hospital resources and services in collaboration with the Nursing and Midwifery Director, Women and Children's and the unit managers.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide leadership within a legal, professional and ethical framework that ensures contemporary consumer/person centred care and staff management practices.
  • Support the Nursing and Midwifery Director, Women and Children's by identifying opportunities to improve resource use, and work in collaboration with the interprofessional team to implement changes.
  • May work across professional and organisational boundaries to influence health service and/or professional outcomes in relation to workforce management.
  • Contribute to organisational key objectives and performance indicators.
  • Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
