ABOUT THE ROLE:

This exciting new role at Mercy Palliative Care will see you leading our passionate team of nurses who provide palliative care for patients in the community. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing and Clinical Nurse Consultants to provide leadership and management support for the nursing team

  • Full time position located at Sunshine office
  • Provide effective operational leadership to the nursing team ensuring high quality clinical practices and patient care
  • This role would be responsible for assisting the DON/Manager with the operational, financial, human resource and information management within Mercy Palliative Care
  • Great work environment with a motivated and passionate team of Nurses

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Minimum 5 years post graduate experience
  • Post Graduate Qualifications in Palliative Care
  • Qualifications in Leadership and Management or working towards
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership and knowledge related to community palliative care
  • Proven leadership and change management experience

ABOUT US:

Mercy Palliative Care is a community palliative care service operating in the Western region of Melbourne and provides a holistic multidisciplinary approach to palliative care. We provide psychological and spiritual support, caring for people of all ages with life-limiting illnesses in their homes as well as complex symptom management. We currently care for over 500 patients across the region in their own homes.
