We are seeking an experienced, passionate nurse leader to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing (EDON) this role will lead and manage our Acute Services area, which includes an 18 bed mixed ward and has oversight of Day Oncology and Haemodialysis services.
You will be responsible for the day to day operations, ensuring high quality care is provided to patients and their families within applicable financial frameworks, budgetary constraints, quality standards and legislative requirements. This role is supported by an established nursing team which has created a positive and supportive environment.
As our ideal candidate you:
- Have current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse with Post graduate studies in management
- Are an experienced people focused leader with a strong record in leading, managing and motivating a team to be the best they can be within a patient-centred environment
- Are highly organised with proven competency in operational planning, strategic and innovative thinking, and resource and budget management
- Have knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and funding Instruments for Acute Care
- Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and easily build respectful relationships and work collaboratively within your team and across the organisation
