Your new role as Nursing Unit Manager of Lingard Day Centre
This is a unique opportunity to fulfill the role of Nursing Unit Manager for one of Newcastle’s busiest day surgery units. The Lingard Day Centre (LDC) consisting of four operating theatres, two endoscopy suites and central sterilisation department. This purpose-built facility opened in 2020 allowing for large patient numbers to be cared for daily and works in conjunction with the Lingard Private Hospital main campus of 10 operating theatres and 2 cath labs. Catering not only for day procedures but working as part of the entire perioperative services at Lingard Private. In this role you will manage all steps of the patient’s journey, from admission, through surgery, recovery, and discharge. In this role you will work closely with the entire perioperative management team and report directly to the Perioperative Services Manager.

About you
Joining a team of like-minded professionals, you will leverage your previous experience in delivering quality patient-centred care.
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA – with no restrictions
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Previous Perioperative Management experience
- Sound knowledge of relevant ACORN, NSQHS and NSW Health Standards
- Extensive operating theatre experience
- Computer skills
- WWCC and Criminal Record check
Desirable Criteria
- Post Graduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing
- Post Graduate qualification of healthcare leadership
