About the role
The Interventional Suite has 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; 41 bed Recovery Unit; Anaesthetics Service and state of the art Sterilising Services Department.
As the Nurse Unit Manager for Anaesthetic services you will make an impact by providing day to day operational direction for the service ensuring efficient and effective coordination for optimal operating theatre efficiency. You will work with all staff and anaesthetists for the provision of services in a timely, efficient and safe manner and undertake a hands-on approach.
An experienced manager with a passion for developing talent within the team, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:
Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing
Post graduate qualification in leadership or management (or willingness to undertake)
Minimum 3 years' experience in perioperative services (anaesthetics)
Extensive clinical skills and experience working in a perioperative suite with 10 or more theaters undertaking complex surgical procedures
Recent experience managing a department (including acting)
Proven experience building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
High level of planning and organising skills
Well-developed oral and written communication
High degree of computer literacy
Prior experience in the private healthcare system will be well regarded

If successful. you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024, a salary ranging from $60.93- $65.54 per hour.
