Be part of a growing number of change makers across the group who are dedicated to charting Suncorp's path to net-zero emissions. This dynamic NZTP Communications Manager role will spearhead the engagement of Suncorp's people around the Group's climate strategy through developing and executing a communication strategy integral to the success of our Group-wide Net Zero Transition Plan (NZTP).
As part of the Group's Environment & Climate team, this pivotal position involves formulating and implementing a comprehensive communications plan aimed at engaging internal stakeholders, fostering awareness, and enhancing understanding of net-zero transition fundamentals. Moreover, it entails showcasing Suncorp's proactive role in decarbonising our business from operations through to our underwriting and investment portfolios.

What you'll do

• Devise a clear communication strategy aligned with Suncorp's net-zero transition plan, crafting compelling narratives for effective messaging
• Lead internal engagement through workshops and initiatives, collaborating with corporate affairs for employee education on the net-zero transition plan
• Produce high-quality collateral, ensuring consistent messaging across SharePoint sites, articles, presentations, and videos
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor communication approaches for employees, leaders, and key teams involved in the net-zero transition
• Oversee digital channels on employee platforms, ensuring impactful messaging for effective communication of the net-zero transition plan
• Establish and track KPIs, regularly evaluating and reporting on communication strategies' impact for data-driven adjustments
• Build strong relationships within corporate affairs, aligning NZTP communication with the broader employee engagement program

What you'll bring

• 3+ years demonstrated track record of effective communication, specifically within sustainability, environmental initiatives, or corporate social responsibility
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing a meticulous eye for detail
• Robust project management abilities, showcasing the capability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in utilizing various communication tools, digital platforms, and internal social media channels
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Possess a highly desirable understanding of climate change, sustainability, and the principles of achieving net-zero emissions
