We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHSE) Officer to join our team.
Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all occupational health, safety, and Environmental regulations and standards within our organisation. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain occupational health, safety, and Environmental policies and procedures to ISO 45001.
- Manage internal compliance audits and yearly ISO re-certification audits.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees on OHSE practices and procedures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive measures, as necessary.
- Liaise with relevant regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with OHSE legislation.
- Monitor and evaluate OHSE performance through data analysis and reporting.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in occupational health, safety, and Environmental management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred.
- Proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of OHSE legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and OHSE management software.
