What you’ll be doing in this role
Our Allied Health department is looking for both a part time & casual Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The department consists of physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, speech pathologists, and therapy assistants delivering evidence-based patient care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team as an Occupational Therapist to provide excellent patient care
- Provide assessment, treatment and discharge planning for patients
- Conduct both individual and group sessions
- Contribute to department innovation and professional development
- Wholeheartedly contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement by actively contributing to a culture of comradery and teamwork
Who we’re looking for
- You'll demonstrate excellent communication skills – both written and verbal skills
- Your friendly, can-do and positive attitude when working with others with the desire to go ‘above & beyond’ when interacting with patients, their families, visitors, and your colleagues
- The ability to be collaborative, adaptable, work well within a team environment, along with being able to work independently
- Be empathetic, systematic, detail-oriented, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare’s everyday values of excellence and integrity
- You'll have current registration with AHPRA and other relevant requirements associated with the position
