Ballina Community Health has an exciting career opportunity for a New Grad Occupational Therapist to join their team. Providing comprehensive and appropriate disciplinary specific assessment and intervention as an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team for patients/clients of the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD). The Allied Health New Graduate is appointed for a period of two (2) years during which time they will be provided employment opportunities and support as they transition from student to workforce employees. The Allied Health New Graduate Program will provide entry level employment within NNSWLHD acute clinical and specialist mental health settings with a commitment to provide clinical supervision, support and educational opportunities. At the conclusion of the 2-year contract clinicians will be supported to investigate and apply for advertised employment opportunities within the NNSWLHD.
If you have/are:
- Qualification as an Occupational Therapist and eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Ability to provide clinical discipline specific services within the scope of practice of the position and utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care
- Effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload
