As a Senior Occupational Therapist at Banks House, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing clinical expertise for acute mental health presentations on the ward. You will be involved in assessments, interventions, and discharge planning with consumers, working 1: 1 with consumers and family, and leading groups. They position will provide supervision to junior staff and students and is expected to lead quality improvement projects.

The senior Occupational Therapist provides clinical governance, leadership and expertise within occupational therapy services including the provision of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality person-centered care.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within Mental Health.
- Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence based practice and/or development of treatment protocols
- Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
- Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
