About the Job Position
Job Title- Occupational Therapist.
Job Type- Part-Time or Casual
Location- Clinic is based at 37 Leyland Street Garbutt, however we are a mobile clinic.
Job Roles
- Provide Occupational Therapy services to infants, children and adolescents with complex physical disabilities or developmental delays in the community.
- Assess and prescribe equipment to enhance the independence and community participation of children.
- Assess and provide evidence-based therapy to infants, children and adolescents with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Communicate and work alongside other services to provider a holistic therapy approach.
- Complete reports and applications to advocate for client needs through the NDIS.
- Opportunity to provide outreach services to Mount Isa.

Requirement, Skills and Expectations
- Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Professional membership with OT Australia and registration with AHPRA.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Current driver's license to access company car and use of own car where required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist is desired, however a passion for working in this paediatric area is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in equipment prescription for children.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with therapists, parents, guardians, teachers and children.
