Horizon Allied Health provides occupational therapy services across several streams including paediatrics, physical disability and mental health. The company has been around for over a decade. We have a stable team of experienced Occupational Therapists. Most of our OTs have been with the company for several years. We do not have a revolving door of OTs passing through the practice.
About the role:
The paediatric stream is looking to appointment a paediatric Occupational Therapist or an OT with an interest in working within a school setting alongside one of the teams senior paediatric Occupational Therapists.
The role is based on site at a mainstream school located near Melton South.
The school based position is casual, with applicant availability required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 3:30pm.
Options for full-time employment on an ongoing basis within the paediatric stream is open for consideration; dependent on interest.
Overview of Duties:
- Develop therapy plans, implement therapy supports and groups within a school environment.
- Assessment and prescription of assistive technology applicable to a classroom environment to support learner outcomes.
- Teacher consultation.
- Administer a broad range of evidence based OT assessments.
- Write progress notes.
- Write OT reports.

What do you need for the role?
- AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist is required prior to commencing employment.
- Valid Victorian Drivers license and reliable motor vehicle.
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential.
- Current police, working with children and DWES check.
