This position will deliver high level clinical expertise and leadership towards occupational therapy staff within the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Occupational Therapists – Senior (Acute) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver high level occupational therapy clinical services within acute multi-specialty areas
- Demonstrate a multi-specialty acute skill set knowledge
- Actively lead and drive the integration of evidence-based practice and research into daily clinical practice
- Apply professional judgement to a complex caseload adapting routine clinical practice
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Possession of a tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised tertiary institution
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (1 position, 5 months with the possibility of extension) and Temporary part time (1 position, 5 months with the possibility of extension, hours negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $4 769.60 - $5 132.40 per fortnight or $62.75 - $67.53 per hour
