Job description

The Rehabilitation Specialists have two exciting opportunities for Senior OT’s to in our team.  We have one position available in Sydney and another in Canberra.

The Rehabilitation Specialists (TRS) is an award winning service provider in the ACT and NSW. We provide high quality clinic based and mobile services for NDIS participants. We are currently seeking passionate Senior Occupational Therapists to join our Sydney and Canberra teams, with one position available in each team.  We are known for our fantastic team culture and supportive work environment.

Our strengths are our dedicated health professionals and support team, our diverse experience and our commitment to making a meaningful difference to achieve the goals those we work with.   We have a team of OT’s, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Therapy Assistants, Employment Support Consultants and an amazing support team.  We work with clients face to face at home, in outpatient clinics, at school, and via telehealth.

The Positions:

Two exciting opportunities exists for an experienced senior Occupational Therapist to join our OT team, one Sydney based role and one Canberra based role.  The successful applicants will provide assessment and intervention to our NDIS participants as well as providing leadership and supervision to Occupational Therapists, therapy aides and students. Caseload is varied and the applicate would benefit from experience working in some of these areas: paediatrics, neuro-diverse clients of all ages, mental health, adult neurological, deaf and hard of hearing, deaf/blind, intellectual disabilities, housing, home modifications, and assistive technology.

If desired, there is scope to also undertake some work under other schemes including CTP, Life Insurance, Medico-legals, and several workplace rehab schemes. 

About you:

We are looking for motivated OTs with a passion for helping individuals with a disability to reach their full potential. You thrive in building relationships and love to contribute professionally to a multidisciplinary environment. You are a leader, and a team player, willing to share your experience. 

You will also have:

  • A Bachelor or Masters of Occupational Therapy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be committed to delivering person-centred care.
  • AHPRA registration.
  • NDIS Worker Check
  • Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Have a positive attitude, be a team player, and enjoy contributing ideas.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Strong desire to develop your skills in an NDIS setting.
  • Must have at least 5 years of clinical experience
  • Roles can be full-time or part time.

Remuneration: Dependent on skills and experience, in line with HP3 public sector salaries.
