SalaryWe're looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants to join our growing team on a part-time casual basis.
You will be working closely with our clients in their own homes or at school (depending on client needs), helping them achieve their therapy goals and improve their quality of life.
Our office is based in Quakers Hill (Blacktown Area), but our client range is across Penrith, Richmond and Blacktown areas.
Here's what you'll be doing:- Working under the direct/indirect supervision of the Principal OT to implement a client's therapy program to achieve their therapy goals.
- Developing resources to complement a client's therapy program
- Communicating with clients, their families, and support workers
- Administrative support to the OT team with sourcing equipment/aids/other services, referral intake, client onboarding, and routine/ad-hoc reception duties
- Cert IV in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy) or currently studying a degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent
- Working with Children Check (paid)
- NDIA Worker Screening (optional)
- Current driver's licence and access to a vehicle for work
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably within the NDIS framework or willing to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management
- Willing to travel to Penrith, Richmond, Blacktown and surrounding suburbs (no more than 30 minutes of travel one-way)
- Clinical supervision and support from Principal OT
- Professional development support (in-house and external)
- Opportunity to progress to a permanent role upon review
- Opportunity to progress to an OT clinician role once you get your qualification
