Founded in 2022, GKG Engineering is a growing family-owned business based in Yatala. We design, manufacture, install and service a range of products to the recycling industry around Australia.
As we continue to expand, we are hiring an Office Administrator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic team member with prior experience in a similar role who will enjoy working with a close-knit team, and is excited about variety in your day-to-day work!
This role is a part-time role of 20 hours per week (Monday-Thursday), and we are happy to accommodate the start and finish times that suit you and your schedule.
In this role you will:
- Use Xero to prepare and send out Purchase Orders
- Use Microsoft Excel to process incoming orders from customers
- Use ServiceM8 to book in jobs, allocate staff to jobs, and capture any on-the-job expenses
- Use Xero to invoice customers, as well as follow up on outstanding payments on a monthly basis
- Liase with Australian Apprenticeships and make sure our apprentices are on track with their training programs
- Assist with managing OH&S in the office and workshop
- Order office supplies as required
- Organise repairs, servicing, replacements to office and workshop equipment as required
- Accounts payable and receivable work as required
- Files & record management
- Report writing as required
- Maintain the cleanliness standards in the office as required (we do have a cleaner in twice a week)
- Be our go-to for any office errands – pickup orders from suppliers, organising team building days, celebrating birthdays, etc.
About you:
We are looking for someone with:
- A minimum of 3 years in a similar position – you must have experience with Purchase Orders, Invoicing and general sales orders
- Knowledge of trade-based business
- An understanding of project-based business, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using Xero is highly desired, but not essential
- Must have own transport and be able to work in our Yatala based office daily
