About Yemaya
Yemaya Women’s Support Service is a specialist family violence service that has been providing support to women in Northern Tasmania since 1992. Direct service delivery includes specialist trauma-informed counselling and group work, advocacy, referral, and case management for all women who have experienced family violence. Yemaya further engages in community development through community liaison and education, and service networking and partnerships. Yemaya holds a central position in the Northern Tasmanian family violence response system.
The role
The Office Administrator will be crucial in supporting our organisation's daily operations.
This role involves a range of tasks that require strong organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Package, and experience in finance/accounting. You will manage enquiries from clients, other agencies, and stakeholders via telephone or email; therefore, excellent communication skills are essential.
The focus will be on supporting the team and management by providing essential administrative duties while ensuring that the needs of the victim/survivor are at the centre of the process. The team will support the successful applicant by providing ongoing internal training and additional external professional development in trauma-informed responses to clients impacted by family violence.
