About the Role
Use your diverse administration skills to really make this Office Manager position your own, in a role that is both challenging and rewarding. You will be the key administration resource within this small construction organisation, which means this role will be both varied, and highly valued. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will have ample opportunity to contribute ideas or continue growing your own capabilities as an administrator over time.
Duties & Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for telephone calls, and any visitors
Become the 'go to' person in the office for all administration tasks including reporting, creating documents or presentations, and database administration
Provide support with diary management and scheduling meetings as required
Coordinate team functions and key activities
Maintain office supplies, equipment, and perform facilities management duties
Support other key business functions such as human resources, finance administration or basic IT troubleshooting as required
Coordinate the defects administration process, creating job orders in partnership with Commercial Manager
Other ad hoc duties to assist the office as required
Skills & Experience required
You will be a strong administration "all-rounder", having gained skills in dynamic, fast-paced work environments
Someone who is proactive and outcome-focused - you will be confident in asking questions, escalating potential issues or following things up with stakeholders if required
Much of your success in this role will come down to your willingness to learn and grow as well as your genuine desire to help and support others within the team
Strong time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities
Someone who can adapt while working in a reactive environment, creating structure and processes to improve efficiencies
