Office Manager Position at FORWAARD Aboriginal Corporation
FORWAARD Aboriginal Corporation, a dedicated not-for-profit organisation in the AOD sector, is seeking a highly organised and experienced Office Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is at the heart of our operations, ensuring our office runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting our mission to provide culturally safe and respectful appropriate specialised care and support services in the rehabilitation areas of treatment, recovery, healing and education to minimise substance misuse and dependency amongst Aboriginal people through delivering culturally appropriate education, prevention and recovery programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Handle data entry for accounts receivable and payable and manage fortnightly payroll processes. Maintain an organized system of both hard copy and digital financial records.
Insurance & Compliance: Maintain all company insurance policies, ensuring compliance and up-to-date coverage.
Human Resources Support: Oversee HR coordination, including recruitment, onboarding, probation, and off-boarding activities, ensuring all tasks are completed within strict deadlines.
Leadership: Provide leadership and management to staff directly reporting to you, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
Budget & Reporting: Contribute to budget development and manage financial reporting, including acquittals and reconciliation for multiple entities.
Skills and Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of finance administrative experience in a similar role, preferably within the Not-for-Profit sector.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across various levels of the organisation.
Strong multitasking abilities, with a knack for improvising, adapting quickly, and meeting deadlines efficiently.
Extensive experience with office IT systems, specifically MYOB,
Demonstrated attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Experience in accounts receivable and payable.
The Successful Applicant Will:
Demonstrate effective communication with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, understanding cultural and cross-cultural issues affecting their health and welfare.
Have at least three years of proven experience using MYOB, including data entry, bank feeds, acquittals, and reconciliation for multiple entities.
Bring previous management experience in a finance-related role.
Hold a current Driver’s License, OCHRE Card and Police Clearance check.
