Thrust Maritime (www.thrustm.com) is a niche business that designs, develops, manufactures, installs and operates specialist launch and recovery systems (LARS) for subsea operations.
We are looking for experienced offshore operators / technicians to join our offshore operations team. The offshore projects we work on are wide in variety, niche, highly interesting and allow our personnel to operate industry leading equipment.
Your Role
You will form part of a highly skilled offshore operations team, where you will operate and maintain Thrust Maritime's Active Heave Compensated (AHC) launch and recovery equipment during offshore/subsea vessel campaigns.
Upon commencing you will receive Thrust Maritime equipment specific training and be fully supported by local and remote operations, engineering and production teams.
Selected candidates would initially be employed on a casual basis. This arrangement would ideally suit individuals that are already employed in the offshore industry and looking to secure additional work supporting Thrust Maritime offshore campaigns and mobilisations around Australia and Internationally.
Potential full-time opportunities are also available for Melbourne based candidates that are interested in working in our shoreside operations or production teams in-between offshore campaigns.
Our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes and experience:
Minimum:
- Relevant offshore experience in oil and gas or defence environments, particularly around vessel, subsea, ROV, diving and launch and recovery operations
- BOSIET/FOET (or ability to attain)
- AMSA / OGUK Medical (or equivalent) (or ability to attain)
- Ability to read, interpret and work with drawings and procedures
- Self-starter with initiative and a passion for learning
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- High focus on safety
Desirable:
- Electrical or mechanical or hydraulics trade or engineering background
- ROV Operator/Tech background
- Offshore crane operation competencies (e.g. API Stage I/II/III, PMASUP305 or similar)
- Crane and/or rigging High Risk Work Licences
