Job Description:
As a Tour Manager at Karijini Eco Retreat, you will play a key role in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for leading guided tours, sharing your expertise about the retreats' unique flora, fauna, and geological formations and night sky wonders, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct informative and engaging guided tours of Karijini Eco Retreat
- Share in-depth knowledge about the surrounding geology, ecology, night sky and our cultural significance.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the excursion.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive and memorable experience for guests.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance the overall visitor experience.
- Stay informed about park regulations, safety protocols, and relevant environmental issues.
- Run weekly staff engagement activities to promote a healthy and happy work environment
- Be crossed trained in a department of your choosing to assist with the daily operations when scheduling allows
Qualifications:
- Passion for nature, conservation, and environmental education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong public speaking and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience as a tour guide or in a related field is a plus.
