ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an Operations Analyst with expertise in procurement, supply & demand planning, and inventory management. In this role, you’ll play a key part in our mission by working closely with our suppliers to develop comprehensive purchasing and Supply Chain plans, provide forecasting insights to enable effective supply and demand planning, and oversee procurement requirements to enable our portfolio of medicinal cannabis products.
We are looking for a capable and self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can ‘hit the ground running’. They will have the ability and confidence to set up systems, processes and tools to support daily operations, and develop an understanding our unique products and industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyse historical sales data, demand drivers and inventory data to prepare purchasing forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation and across multiple time horizons.
• Interact with Sales, Marketing and Finance to understand demand forecast drivers and monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets or business strategies.
• Prepare purchasing recommendations to ensure adequate stock levels (and to prevent overstocking or stockouts) and communicate those recommendations to Altum’s management through an S&OP process.
• Develop and maintain demand planning tools and processes to justify purchasing recommendations, and actively monitor, analyse, manage and report on operational performance metrics.
• Manage ongoing purchasing processes with Altum’s suppliers.
• Accurately manage Altum’s inventory management system and prepare inventory reports (stock valuations, aging stock reports, etc.).
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including supply and distribution partners.
• Document and continuously improve internal processes relating to procurement and inventory planning/management.
• Assist the Altum Operations team with operational and process improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain operational processes and procedures.
• Assist in the various general workstreams in our operations department.
EXPERIENCE AND KEY CRITERIA
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain management, business operations or related field.
• Proven experience in a planning, procurement, or Supply Chain role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of forecasting and stock management principles.
• High competency with Microsoft Excel forecasting and modelling.
• Data analysis skills and familiarity with data visualisation programs such as Power BI.
• Experience with Cin7 or other inventory/ERP software.
• High levels of initiative, energy and attention to detail.
• An understanding or experience in pharmaceutical or health products production and distribution will be viewed favourably.
Location: Perth, Western Australia or Melbourne, Victoria preferred.
