About the Role:
The Operations and Events Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient delivery of the Club's home games and other related events, coordinating across multiple aspects of event and operations management. You will work closely with players, coaches, and various departments to ensure smooth execution of Club activities and maintain a strong community presence.
Key Responsibilities
Event Coordination:
• Assist with the preparation, set-up, and pack down of home games and other Club-related
events as directed.
• Coordinate with event contractors external to JackJumpers in line with budget expectations.
• Create and implement frameworks for major Club events.
Player and Coach Coordination:
• Assist in coordinating players' and coaches' availability for basketball programs to maintaining the Club's community presence.
• Develop and coordinate the player appearance schedule in compliance with NBL
contracting rules and player agreements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of team protocols (ie. ticketing, clothing,
cars etc).
Team Logistics:
• Assist with the onboarding of team staff and players, including managing all bookings and logistical requirements.
• Manage the JackJumpers volunteers’ program for game day and club support,
Administrative Support:
• Provide admin support and assistance to the Basketball and Operations team as required.
• Identify and suggest ways to improve operational efficiencies.
• Provide budget and financial process support to Head of Operations.
Player Development and Support:
• Assist players with off-field engagement such as study, work, work experience,
volunteering, etc.
• Build trust and maintain strict confidentiality with players.
• Support the development of appropriate confidential internal and external referral
networks.
Versatile Work Environment:
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical ability to assist with event set-up and pack down.
• Travel as needed for away games and other Club events.

• Proven experience in event coordination and operations management.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with players, coaches, and various departments.
• Proficiency in administrative and coordination software/tools.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with team members.
