The Role
Our 24/7, 365-day Operations Control Centre is the heartbeat of our operation. Reporting to the Manager, Operations Control Centre, our Operations Coordinators provide key planning and day of operations support and coordination. As a focal point of the operation, they work closely with our crews, engineers, head office team, and third-party suppliers to efficiently and safely deliver services to our valued clients. This is a shift work position including weekends and public holidays based at our Melbourne Airport Office with on-site parking.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Create and coordinate aircraft schedules including assignment of appropriate aircraft.
- Create and coordinate compliant crew control plans in accordance with CAO obligations and company manuals.
- Management of crew currencies and endorsements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Arrange crew accommodation and positioning flights.
- Coordinate Ground Handling, Catering and Fuel requirements.
- Coordinate Overflight Permits.
- Coordinate Airport Slot and ATFM approvals.
- Assist Flight Crews in Flight Planning and EDTO Monitoring.
Qualifications and Experience
- Aviation Management graduate or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience with specialised aviation aircraft and crew management software and the allocation of aircraft and scheduling of crew.
- Sound understanding of flight planning principles, flight and duty time limitations, weather, NOTAM’s, international trip planning and ground handling.
- Effective interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven problem solving, planning skills and proven ability to work under pressure.
- Professional, friendly and customer focused.
- Ability to fully participate in a 24/7 team roster including early mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
Candidates with experience or qualifications in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Flight planning and dispatch.
- International Trip Planning.
- Data analysis and reporting and dashboard creation (including intermediate to advanced use of Power BI).
