Experience a hospitality role like no other, just 250 metres from Clifton Gardens beach - imagine relaxing with a swim after your shift! Join the Land’s Edge Foundation team as an Operations Coordinator at our Harbour Lodge in the picturesque Chowder Bay (Mosman), NSW.
This role involves coordinating operations of our 75-bed accommodation facility and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests who are primarily school groups.
This is predominantly a Monday - Friday role although you will be expected to fulfil operational shifts regularly and fill gaps in the roster to support your team. Our general operating hours are 7am - 8pm, depending on client needs.
This is perfect for an individual who is customer-service focussed and a “Jack or Jill of all trades” with building maintenance projects a key focus for 2024. While some administration work is required, this is a very hands-on role ensuring the building is prepared and maintained for our groups. If you have a high attention to detail and like “getting your hands dirty” or you’re familiar with a toolbox, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing operational group requirements; arrivals and departures, linen, food, and catering
- Maintaining daily and periodic cleanliness of the facility
- Coordinating external contractor schedules & requirements
- Maintaining maintenance such as painting, fixing items and overall improvements
- Coordinating a small team of 2-3 operational team members
Requirements:
- NSW Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- First Aid and CPR qualification (or willing to obtain)
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Strong communication skills and customer service focus
- Attention to detail and highly organised by nature
- Experienced in human resource management of a small team
Desirable:
- At least 2 years experience as a supervisor in hospitality operations - food service, cleaning/housekeeping, maintenance or similar
- Experience in building or facilities maintenance or a similar trade
- Interest in outdoor activities or education
