An exciting position is available for an Operations Lead in the Kalgoorlie area. This role requires an experienced individual who enjoys working autonomously and able to manage work schedules with limited supervision. Reporting into the Area Manager WA you will ensure the needs of our customers are met in a timely manner, as well as build and maintain customer relationships through daily industrial sales activities.
What you will be doing
- Regular visits to customer sites to conduct gas cylinder audits as required
- General housekeeping ensuring that the yard and stock are maintained
- Be pro-active and vigilant in the identification of workplace safety and health hazard to ensure a safe workplace for all employees and customers
- Generate profitable and sustainable industrial business sales and maintain existing accounts
- Grow allocated territory by identifying, cultivating, and winning new business opportunities
- Complete all paperwork and reporting required by standard operating procedures, including monthly wins/losses and business development opportunities reports
- Maintain and manage relationships with major customers, depots, and distributors to support the long term and commercial profitability relationships
What we need from you
- Trade qualifications in welding, mechanical, or other related areas
- Forklift license and Truck HR driving license would be an advantage
- To be able to work with minimum or no supervision
