Location:
Old Bar is situated on the beautiful Mid North Coast of New South Wales, approximately 300 kilometres north of Sydney with a population of 6,000.
Business Operations:
Old Bar Beach Bowling Club Ltd is a dynamic, profitable and progressive organisation comprising of two Registered Clubs (Club Old Bar and Club West) and a 26 Room Motel that was opened in 2020, adjacent to Club Old Bar. Membership is 7,500 with entitlements to both Clubs.
Old Bar Beach Bowling Club Ltd is recognised as a leader within the wider Club industry and our local community with a welcoming can do attitude. To compliment this the Organisation is looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic, customer service focused Operations Manager to oversee the operations of our Organisation.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will provide leadership to departmental heads and coordinate the profitable operation of the Organisation. This is a hands-on role requiring the following attributes:
- Proven record in the Club Management, minimum five years experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan and direct the overall management of the business to achieve efficiency, profitable financial results and effective services to members.
- Strong and proven staff management.
- Experience in Strategic and Financial Planning.
- Project management capabilities.
- A high level of computer literacy is essential.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership in a hands-on capacity to our beverage, functions, marketing and gaming departments.
- Team performance management, recruitment, induction, achieving strong team culture and service objectives. Sound HR skills are essential.
- Producing precise, cost-effective rosters.
- Cost benefit analysis capabilities.
- Sound knowledge of gaming including TITO and Systems 7000.
- Proven experience in staff management and training.
- Proven ability in implementing Strategic Goals through the delivery of operational targets and KPI’s.
- Experience in the development and implementation of software systems.
A clear focus on customer service is essential so as to provide an exceptional experience for members, guests and visitors is essential. The successful applicant will possess strong management skills and a proven background as an Operations Manager or more senior role.
Remuneration:
A Salary Package will be negotiated based on experience, qualifications and agreed outcomes.
