Operations Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Operations Manager to join our team in Welshpool, WA. This is a diverse role and you will be responsible for building our customer base and managing the site with the Operations Manager. This role offers career progression, training and development and opportunities to progress. 

The successful candidate will have significant previous experience in the transport industry, demonstrate impeccable interpersonal and Customer Service skills, be naturally organised, familiar with logistics and be highly computer literate.

To be successful you will have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role. As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for:

• Coordinate the daily operation functions at Welshpool and Kewdale, Storage, Transport & Linehaul 
• Manage the Welshpool and Kewdale team members and their functions 
• Identifying & implementing changes in the transport & warehouse function to raise standards of performance 
• Excellent skills in balancing the branch resources and capabilities to achieve the delivery of established priorities, budgets and plans
• Hiring new drivers and operational staff when required
• Maintain site technologies, standards and the competitive environment
• Strong knowledge in safety requirements to ensure a safe work place for all employees & driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods is desirable

Essential Qualities:

• Experience in Transport, Freight, Logistics (minimum 5 years)
• Excellent Customer Service skills with previous experience 
• Ability to develop relationships and build rapport with team members and client representatives
• Ability to multi task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail, highly organised and goal oriented
