WHY ARE WE LOOKING FOR AN OPERATIONS MANAGER?
This role is a newly created position to enable the continued growth and expansion of the business.
With the business in a fantastic position and loads of opportunities it’s time for an Operations Manager to come onboard and help us enhance our operations as well as prepare us for our next phase of growth.
The Operations Manager will be tasked with overseeing our production teams across Australia whilst having their finger on the pulse with day to day operations.
WHAT OUR IDEAL OPERATIONS MANAGER IS LOOKING FOR FROM WORK:
If this list sounds like it’s describing you, then this opportunity could be just what you’re looking for:
- You want to be able to bring your skills and experience and help drive operations and production to new heights.
- You want the ability to implement new systems and processes to improve on existing practices.
- You want to share your knowledge and experience to help grow your teams knowledge and skill sets.
- You want to be an integral part of a growing business where you can have a significant influence on future success.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations Manager we’re looking for isn’t just a technically capable person.
We’re looking for someone dynamic.
Someone who hears our story, see’s what we’ve built on our own so far, and is excited to join us.
As this is a new role and we’re looking for someone who knows what needs to be done to help us capitalise on opportunities, we’re not going to be arrogant enough to attempt to create a list of ‘responsibilities or requirements’.
We trust that if you’re the right person for this role, once you’re clear on where we’re headed and where we are, you’ll be telling us what needs to be done to get there.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
If this list feels like it does a pretty good job of describing you, and everything else you’ve read feels like it’s a fit for you, you could very well be our new Operations Manager.
- You consider yourself relaxed yet professional.
- You pride yourself on your ability to think differently.
- You’re technically astute, mechanically minded and comfortable with implementing strategic initiatives.
- You’re grounded and confident in your abilities but don’t have a chip on your shoulder.
- You thrive on developing your team and bringing their strengths to the forefront.
- You’ve got a background in manufacturing, machining or fabrication (but we’re open minded if you don’t).
- You're willing to relocate to Toowoomba
- You consider yourself an entrepreneurial thinker; you see the world through the lens of opportunities not problems.
- You’re confident building relationships with various stakeholders as well as key members of the operations team. You pride yourself on having the skills to create positive behaviour changes.
- You’re happy to get on the production floor or in the yard to make sure you know exactly what’s going on.
- You’re enthusiastic about applying your strengths and experience to a role where you’ll genuinely have the chance to achieve both results for the business and rewards for yourself.
- A generous package.
- Work-life balance, beautiful offices, a great business and a healthy culture.
- A career-defining chance to leverage all your experience to create exponential growth for the business.
- Work side-by-side with leaders from all departments
- Set up the systems and processes you know work best - unencumbered by internal political red-tape or corporate bureaucracy.
If you’re itching to bring your experience to an already successful team and do things in a way you’ve learned works (especially if it’s not what everyone else does) …
- and -
to be recognised and appreciated for that, then this is the role for you.
The foundations are in place and we’ve got a world-class facility here, but there’s plenty of room for improvement.
