Your new company 

Join a multinational manufacturing company as their Operations Manager, joining the team in Southwest Sydney on a permanent basis in an exciting leadership role.

Your new role 

In your new role as Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the DC Manager to lead the operations team, driving a culture of high performance to strive for delivery in full and the highest level of customer service.
• Project management of strategic initiatives to improve end-to-end supply chain operations, identifying and implementing improvements, and supporting the teams to develop the overall business.
• Creating strong relationships with key stakeholders across both operations and the wider business, communicating all key information to stakeholders across multiple levels.
• Driving the teams to meet KPIs with respect to output, inventory control metrics, and delivery schedules, mentoring and training team members, performance managing where required.

What you'll need to succeed 

• Strong experience within people leadership roles in the logistics space, with demonstrated understanding of inventory control, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain management.
• Proven background in project management within the logistics and distribution realm, with relevant qualifications highly regarded, with knowledge of OH&S procedures.
• Excellent technical skill-set with WMS/ERP systems exposure and implementation knowledge highly regarded, with working knowledge of improvement methodologies (LEAN, Six Sigma etc.) preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills coupled with refined communication skills, able to influence across a diverse range of stakeholders.
