The Role:
The Operations Manager for our Alice Springs branch is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Alice Springs Branch and for managing small projects for the region. Working very closely with the Major Projects and Logistics Manager and the Central Australian Manager, you will have significant influence over achievements and outcomes for the Alice Springs team.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Provide day to day leadership to the Alice Springs team, with particular focus on the drivers, labourers and Install teams.
- Make day to day decisions regarding the operations in consultation with the relevant Executives, ensuring alignment to business goals
- Oversee training and development of employees
- Provide the Major Projects and Logistics Manager with regular updates as required/agreed on all works relating to the Alice Springs Operation
- Complete regular reporting as requested to be shared with the Directors and Executive team
- Manage small projects for the region, ensuring on time and in budget outcomes that ensure customer satisfaction every time
- Manage building stock fleet in the Alice Springs region and partner with other NT Link teams (including Finance, Contracts, HR, HSEQ and design) to ensure effective Asset Management
- Engage with stakeholders as required to ensure all works undertaken are compliant, and that all employees approach their tasks with a Safety mindset
This role is a senior leader within the Alice Springs Operations team, and will be required to work autonomously, whilst ensuring all stakeholders are updated and communicated with as required.
Ideal Candidate for this role:
This is not a FIFO role, candidates must be residents of, or willing to relocate to, Alice Springs.
Candidates who apply must hold valid, permanent, working rights in Australia.
Suitable candidates will have extensive experience in roles requiring consistent communication and collaboration across all levels of an organisation, and in dynamic and fast paced environments. Must be experienced in effectively managing teams across multiple sites/locations, and be experienced in managing/actively being involved in projects.
5 Years experience in a similar role, or experience within a Building, Construction or Logistics Operation is essential, as his holding an open/current Drivers Licence, High Risk Forklift Licence, and Construction White Card. Suitable candidates will be literate in Microsoft Office products (particularly Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word), and have some experience in utilising Asset Management and HSEQ systems.
Suitable candidates may be required to undergo pre-employment assessments, inclusive of National Police Check and Pre-employment Medical.
