OPERATIONS MANAGER - Woolner
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Management professional to utilize their training and experience to develop and streamline production processes and optimize the Woolner Laundry operations.
Woolner Laundry is part of Linen Service Australia, the largest Textiles Management and Laundry Operator in Australasia. Our Linen Laundry Plants manage the Textile and Laundry requirements of customers in the Healthcare and Aged Care Sectors.
As the Operations Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with our Operational and Customer Service teams to ensure optimal outputs and business strategy achievement.
These include achievement of targeted revenue, profitability, growth, service quality and customer deliveries; whilst meeting all legislative and regulatory compliance requirements. This is great environment for the right person to make their mark.
About the role
- Leads and manages operations of the Woolner Laundry to ensure a high quality service is provided to customers.
- Monitors business unit performance and client satisfaction.
- Develops and maintains a strategic approach to operations and the delivery of Ensign’s services.
- Takes actions to identify and develop new business opportunities for Ensign. Achieves strong business growth within Ensign Services.
- Actively seeks to increase revenue, ensures costs are monitored and cost management strategies are implemented in order to maximise returns.
- Manages the analysis of relevant financial information and preparation of accurate and timely reports.
- Ensures accounts are managed effectively within budget and according to company policy.
- Creates a positive work culture in which people feel supported. Works to ensure quality staff are retained and that Ensign moves towards an Employer of choice.
- Ensures all people management processes occur in accordance with legislative requirements and corporate policies and procedures.
- Drives a culture of safety. Ensures a safe working environment is provided to staff and that Ensign’s occupational health and safety standards are upheld at all times.
About you
- Proven operations knowledge with a minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in the manufacturing and textile market.
- Degree Qualified in related field such as Engineering, Business or Commerce (preferred but not essential).
- Technologically enabled, regularly using software to generate reports.
- Financial and Budgeting experience.
- People Management skills.
- Occupational Health and Safety exposure.
- Experiencing operating with ISO 9001:2015.
- Industry experience delivering garments, textiles and/or laundry products, in the food production and/or manufacturing industries.
- Experience in leading an operational team in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, written and computer skills.
