You will have oversight of all business, finance, property and administration functions at The Salvation Army Dandenong in line with The Salvation Army's vision, mission and values.
Responsibilities include Provide effective leadership and management to direct reports Oversee the volunteer management coordination of the site on Workday and liaise with the appropriate Coordinators or Ministry Stream Leaders Oversee the Corps financial function including receipting donations; banking; reconciliations; purchasing; processing invoices; and obtaining quotes Recruit volunteer staff as required Manage day to day activities at the site Assist Corps Officers with any tasks as required and relevant for the role This is a fixed-term full-time position, contracted until 2026, based in Dandenong, VIC. What you will have Certificate in Business Administration (desirable) Post-secondary qualifications (highly regarded) Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the use of software application packages including word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, databases, communications and record management
At least 2 years’ experience in administration Ability to maintain confidentiality Previous church or not-for-profit management experience (highly regarded) Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong people management skills Self-motivated, high level of initiative and strong work ethic A strong commitment to Christian faith and be, or willing to become, a member of our Faith Community Comfortable praying and sharing the gospel with community members Victorian Driver's Licence Benefits working at The Salvation Army We offer our eligible employees NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefits Employee Assistance Program - Independent confidential counselling service Discounted health and fitness programs through Fitness Passport
