A unique opportunity is now open for an Operations Manager to lead our NSW Central Operations team. Reporting to the Regional Manager, Operations, this role is part of the leadership team based in Minchinbury and is responsible for leading the Shared Services team in providing funeral services to the local communities. You may not have considered this career path before and you will ideally have experience in managing a large team to deliver services each day.,
Key areas of responsibility for this role include:
Operations and Leadership
- Manage the day-to-day operations and associated performance expectations of the team
- Coordinate funeral teams in the provision of supplies and resources so that services are delivered in accordance with policies, procedures and quality standards
- Be the role model for acceptable behaviours and standards and demonstrate a 'can do' approach to internal customers and ensure employees adopt the same behaviours
- Lead change initiatives and cross unit collaboration to drive efficiencies/improvements
Internal Systems and Processes and Health and Safety
- Ensure internal systems, processes and policies are updated and adhered to
- Comply with risk management, quality and health, safety environment management systems including statutory obligations to maintain high levels of customers satisfaction
- Implement and monitor actions to prevent/control/report workplace risks, injuries & illnesses
Customers
- Identify and develop opportunities to provide exceptional service to customers with acontinuous improvement and innovation in service ethos
People Management
- Implement employment management practices including recruitment, induction, succession planning, reward and recognition, performance management and training and development
- Identify L&D requirements of staff and ensure programs are in place to enhance performance
Knowledge, skills and experience required for this role include:
- Management/operational experience in a service-driven organisation observing high safety standards
- Strong financial acumen to both manage costs and maximize efficiencies
- Strong people leadership and ability to articulate clearly and positively
- Proven ability to move between strategy and operational execution
- Track record in managing business process and change initiatives within an organisation
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships
- Current Unrestricted Drivers' Licence
