QBuild is a vital part of Queensland's $50 billion building and construction industry which employs 235,000 Queenslanders.
As the Queensland Government's builder, QBuild plays an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
With almost 1,400 staff and a network that includes 20 offices and 34 depots across the state, QBuild is well positioned to deliver construction and maintenance services to communities including those in regional and remote areas.

Key responsibilities include:
* Ensure the effective operational delivery of client projects and programs by managing the productivity of the programs resources, monitoring performance and initiating remedial action as necessary.
* Maintain sound relationships with clients and act as the interface with clients on major projects.
* Prepare and effectively manage the maintenance, minor works and construction program sales budgets in line with the Queensland Government's Capital Works Framework (CWF).
* Achieve operational objectives through effective planning and utilisation of resources, including the ability to successfully manage a commercially-oriented organisation in the Building Construction and Maintenance Industry, or similar, within the Public Sector.
* Manage, coordinate and integrate a workforce of office and field staff involved in product development, product delivery and client liaison activities.
* Plan and resolve resourcing issues and ensure the appropriate allocation and management of resources within each of the operational areas to achieve a consistently high level of quality in the delivery of building services and project management with budgetary, resource and time constraints.
* Manage and implement change and create effective working relationships through leading and developing individuals and teams.
* Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.

Please note: This role will require the occupant to travel regularly to other locations within Queensland, which may include overnight stays up to 4 nights. Flight concession arrangements apply and government employee housing available.
