We operate multi-disciplinary departments in the mechanical, civil, electrical, plumbing and housing maintenance trades supported by a team of engineering, HSE, fleet management and administrative professionals. We work predominantly for major clients BHP, Roy Hill and FMG whilst also supporting the community and industry in construction, maintenance and demolition. The Pilbara Operation is supported by our Perth based engineering office and our corporate office in Queensland. About the role:Goodline are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates to join our Port Hedland team in Western Australia as the Operations Manager. The role supports a multi-disciplined work force in performing various construction and maintenance activities. Reporting directly to the Pilbara Manager, the role will actively lead the division to guarantee the business delivers its strategic objectives whilst ensuring that our customer group’s expectations are met. Key ResponsibilitiesManagement of the operations to deliver the divisional and corporate strategic objectives.Responsible for the overall performance of the division and customer relationships.Delivery of safety compliance and improved safety performance.Commercial oversight to ensure business performance is predictable and delivers dependable results.Recruitment, selection and training of staff to ensure that staff retention is maintained.Oversee the division’s forecast works to ensure a strong pipeline of work and adequate resources (equipment and personnel) for upcoming works (+2 weeks to 3 month horizon).Maintain relationship with the tendering team for all upcoming and potential work.CapabilitiesProven leadership skills and management of multi-disciplined teams.Strong understanding of HSE best practice and compliance.Established ability to build strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholder groups including clients, suppliers and communities.Manage and deliver high quality advice and assistance to staff to ensure the workmanship delivered to clients and external stakeholders is of a high level and consistent.High level planning and strategic thinking skills with the ability to set priorities and manage complex workflows across multiple work fronts.Sound commercial knowledge including the ability to interpret, understand and execute contracts.Scoping, planning, scheduling, budgeting and forecasting; andHigh level of self-discipline, self-motivation, energy and initiative.Ideally you will have:Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Finance, Business Management or a related discipline and/or trade background.Proven leadership skills and management of large multi-disciplined teams (200+ employees)What we offer:A workplace that focuses on its people and their wellbeing.An opportunity to make an impact at a senior level within a leading construction and maintenance company.The opportunity to further develop your skills and professional development.Competitive remuneration package based on experience.Goodline are an equal opportunity employer.
