Operations Manager (Remedial Building/Maintenance And Fit Out)

CDR Group is a rapidly expanding remedial and maintenance business based in Melbourne, with a vision to establish a nationwide presence across all states. 

We are looking for someone to become the 2IC of this construction business with their core focus to be managing the day to day of the business autonomously 

Role Overview: As the Integrator (Operations manager) of CDR Group, you will wield significant authority, managing all business functions autonomously. 

Reporting directly to the Director, you will not only oversee day-to-day operations but also manage each business function independently. The owner of the business will report to you for sales, while you will report to the owner for the overall performance and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Autonomous Management: Independently manage and oversee all business functions, ensuring each department operates cohesively towards the company’s goals.
• Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, achieve revenue targets, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Financial Leadership: Take ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, optimizing financial performance and ensuring sound cash flow management.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a culture of accountability, alignment with company values, and continuous improvement.
• Project delivery: Delivering projects as we grow with the goal to replace your duties with new staff as we build the business's 

Key Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in business management (Important to understand the fundamentals but we can teach you these skills) 
• Strong construction background with proven experience in project management, fit out's, maintenance works and business leadership.
• Exceptional financial acumen 
• Ability to communicate with all stakeholders efficiently  
• Strong technical understanding of remedial construction methods 
• Ability to travel interstate to assist setting up new offices 
• Commitment and drive
• Must be willing to undergo a national police check if successful
