About the role:
The purpose of the Operations Manager – Site Services is to be accountable for achieving site compliance and operational improvements; processing plant compliance; and business development, while ensuring that costs are controlled within budget and delivering required customer service levels.
Based in Mandurah or Malaga, a key component of this role is assisting in the development of a Site Services business unit to support customer needs in disposal and resource recovery services.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the development of a Perth-based FIFO Pool of operators to support site needs.
- Identification and implementation of operational efficiencies to achieve exemplary customer service practices and meet contractual obligations within financial and operational targets.
- Work with customers and the Sales team to maximise revenue growth opportunities (organic and new business).
- Management and improvement of fixed plant compliance across the northern business.
- Site operations compliance and ongoing improvement in manning, rostering, equipment and licence compliance management.
- Support the development of a Perth-based FIFO Pool of operators to support site needs.
- Contribute to revenue and EBIT growth through strong customer and sales team relationships and effective operational controls.
About you:
You will be able to self-start and work autonomously. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take the growing Site Services business unit and build it into an offering that can showcase all your skills. The right candidate will likely come from a manufacturing or mining environment and can look at things from a process perspective to take what is there and build the processes and compliance.
- Mechanical, manufacturing, production, or other engineering experience or exposure.
- Demonstrated business development experience.
- Exceptional leadership ability and track record in safety leadership and performance.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and communication channels with stakeholders.
- Business or Commerce degree or equivalent significant business-related experience
- Project Management qualifications advantageous.
- Current WA driver’s license (Heavy Rigid or higher-class license desirable).
