ABOUT THE ROLE
As a result of unprecedented business growth and internal advancements, we are currently seeking a motivated and results driven Operations Manager, based in Karratha, to take charge and provide leadership at our Karratha office and workshop facilities.
This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations with our workshop personnel and coordinating on-site activities to ensure our clients receive industry-leading service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities of the Site Services teams to ensure safe, productive outcomes and ensuring optimum utilisation with correct skillsets and experiences.
- Manage our Karratha workshop activities including asset readiness for our Site Services Team.
- Oversee and actively participate in coordination and execution of projects based on business requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operational queries/issues within all facets of DGE including workshop activities, scheduling, quoting, recruitment and mobilisation.
- Drive a ‘Zero Harm’ approach to all team members and maintain a commitment to Safety and Quality.
- Modelling the behavior of ‘Right First Time’ and accepting nothing less than high quality performance.
- Ensure all company assets are maintained, and correct records are kept as outlined by legislation.
- Manage client relationships and issues that arise by maintaining a ‘customer centric’ focus.
Pre-requisites:
- Minimum 5 years Operational Management experience within the mining industry.
- Proven ability to organise and actively manage day to day operations
- Ability to attend site-based operations as required.
- Have a customer orientated mindset and ability to foster client relationships.
- Be proficient with MS Office Suite of products including Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical including regular drug and alcohol screenings.
Desirable:
- Previous exposure with shutdown services or provider.
- Understanding of mining operations, plant and equipment.
- Previous experience associated with a Tier One Mining Organisation will be highly regarded.
- Supply chain experience and accompanying relationships.
