What this job involves:
An exciting opportunity for an energetic and hands-on Operations Manager to join our QLD Retail Property Management team, providing comprehensive facilities management for one of the Gold Coast’s most unique precincts.
You will proactively supervise the day-to-day events to ensure that the asset/s are operating to their optimum with regard to maintenance activities, capital works and security. The priority always should be the health and safety of all visitors and occupants, the presentation of the property and the implementation of client strategies - all being performed with minimal disruption to the tenants.

Supervising the activities of engaged contractors to ensure a suitable environment for customers, contractors, staff, tenants and confirming all services operate effectively and safely
Being proactive in communicating with tenants formally and informally to gain insights, key drivers and respond to any relevant issues promptly
Working effectively in a team environment ensuring you maintain consistency and support to all members and our client as required
Confirming that the services engaged and purchased are within the budgeted costs
Undertaking regular inspections to proactively identify any change or new risk scenarios and certify that the agreed risk management plan reflects the current state of the asset and is implemented in accordance with client instructions

Our chosen candidate will have a strong ability to communicate with people at all levels with a passion for providing superior service to the client. You’ll be able to empathise with tenant needs and prioritise to meet deadlines. You will be required to be on alert for any incident or equipment failure and take action to remedy these as soon as possible.
A clear and proven understanding of WH&S, compliance and risk management are must haves, along with related property, facilities management, or operations management experience in a retail/ shopping centre environment.
