About the team
As our next Operations Officer Invasive Plants, you will lead and mentor a team of 10 specialised Pest Management Technicians who are dedicated to protecting our city by conducting treatment and surveillance of targeted invasive plants on City managed land.
About your new role
In your new role, you will be developing and executing various invasive plant management programs, focusing on species identified in the City of Gold Coast Biosecurity Management Plan.
You will have the opportunity to provide leadership and guidance to our dedicated team of Pest Management Technicians, while building strong relationships with our valued partners and stakeholders. Your days will involve maintaining accurate data records, prioritising work plans, and ensuring safety within the invasive plants team.

We're looking for people who have:
- A strong commitment to mentoring and fostering the growth of others

- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
- Experience in a similar role is highly desirable but we are also open to technicians ready for a leadership role
