Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Tuesday to Friday
As an Operations Specialist in our Integrated Remote Operations Control portfolio, you will play a lead role in managing Fortescue’s end-to-end Control Room Operations. This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders to optimise supply arrangements and deliver value. You will assist in the development of strategies to` ensure a seamless transition in the decarbonisation of Fortescue’s portfolio. You will also lead the engagement with relevant Leadership to develop expertise and provide internal support to our Supervisors.
To be successful in the role, you are someone who is enthusiastic about decarbonisation, Projects and willing to accept the challenge of being part of an innovative and success driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with Operational teams leadership, managing the relationship and developing expertise.
- Create training strategies to enable control room operators & leadership to succeed.
- Support, communicate and contribute to group initiatives.
- Undertake contractor management of project works.
- Provide presentation support for all contractual and commercial activities.
- Ensure business objectives are met through effective governance, compliance management and the identification, assessment, and treatment of risk.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive control room or project management and contract management will be well regarded.
- Effective written and communication skills to draft recommendations, advice and approval documents.
- Strong influencing, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrable self-management and performance capabilities with a high level of resilience to challenging circumstances.
- Proven analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work packages and interface with internal customers.
- Experience in DCRM systems.
