What the opportunity involves:
Our Solids Waste Services Commercial & Infrastructure (C&I) Business is Australia’s leading provider of Commercial Waste, making a safer, sustainable future possible for the sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Team.
You will work as a team oversee the daily operations of the drivers, ensuring they are compliant with all aspects of their runs, including vital company KPI around safety compliance are followed.
Based at Molendinar, you will have the reporting support of the Branch Manager; you’ll work with a high-performing team to deliver services to our clients. Due to the nature of this role, you are required to be onsite Monday – Friday, 8 am -4 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Organising driver rosters for pickups & dropped off at the landfill, and ensuring drivers are undertaking administrative paperwork.
- Debriefing drivers - Toolbox talks. They don’t do TB startups because of the staggered start times of drivers.
- Manage a team inclusive of performance &development, succession and succession planning.
- Reporting on engagement statistics (number of visits, feedback, etc.).
- Proactively handle internal and external customer queries via phone, web, and email.
- Manage customer complaints to resolution, following set procedures.
- Maintain our CRM Database of customer information.
About you?
You are great at stakeholder management, with a high level of communication, including telephone etiquette, customer maintenance, handling complaints, and remaining calm under pressure.
You have an excellent demeanour and can proactively engage and influence with your subordinates.
Previous experience in a Transport & Logistics environment, planning rosters, managing teams, time management as you will juggle conflicting demands.
An understanding of the Gold Cost and Brisbane geographical areas
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite of programs and using CRM tools. Or technically minded and can pick thigs up quickly.
