Operations Supervisor

Cordoma Group Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated TableGrape farm located in Robinvale, Australia. 

Reporting to management the Operations Supervisor will beresponsible for the day-to-day supervision of machinery operators and labourhire contractors. The applicant must have a can-do attitude to work, ability towork with a diverse workforce, great people management skills, reliable and ahard-worker.

Duties include, but are not limited to

• Coordinating, training and supervising the work of generalfarm workers and labour hire contractors
• Supervise and oversee crews involved in all aspects of thefarming operation from in-field Table Grape packing, pruning and rolling, off-seasoncanopy management, young vine training and other general farm activities
• Monitor workplace performance and ensure workers meet theirminimum targeted requirements on a daily basis and resolving any grievances
• Ensuring deadlines are met for all daily activities andorders have been filled where required
• Conferring with managers to coordinate activities with otherfarming functions
• Inspecting farm equipment, ensuring routine maintenance iscarried out and repairs are made, when necessary, with applicable staff
• Liaise with farm mechanic in regards to tractor maintenanceand defects
• Ensure and enforce compliance with government regulationsand health and safety standards; reporting any workplace injuries or hazards;ensuring the correct personal protective equipment is being worn by all staff
• All other directions of management to achieve the company’sobjectives

Skills and experience:

• 5 years of experience on a Table Grape farm isa must
• Competent in machinery operation as this may berequired from time to time
• A demonstrated history of labour/farmsupervision
•  Ability to monitor and teach labour to gradefruit, prune and roll, leaf pluck, shoot thin and any other general farm tasks-knowledge in these tasks are a must
• Competent in communicating in English and withother cultures
• Drives licence

• Expected start date for role: 01 April 2024
• Expected salary: $70,000 per year
