We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Oral Health Therapist to join our team. As an Oral Health Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing preventive and therapeutic dental care, promoting Oral Health, and educating patients on maintaining good oral hygiene practices. As a highly sought-after, well established, privately-owned practice with a large and loyal patient base there is the potential to take on 3 – 5 days per week of full books for the right applicant. You will be surrounded by an excellent team of dental professionals and be fully supported by dedicated, caring staff which will allow you to focus on your clinical skills
Responsibilities
· Conduct thorough Oral Health assessments and collaborate with dentists and other Oral Health professionals to develop treatment plans for patients
· Provide preventive dental care including scaling, fluoride treatments, and sealant application
· Administer local anaesthesia
· Taking dental x-rays and interpreting the results
· Perform minor dental procedures such as fillings and extractions per your scope
· Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' Oral Health conditions
· Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
· Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and providing personalized recommendations for optimal Oral Health
· Adhere to surgery infection control and safety protocols at all times
· Continuously stay updated with the latest advancements and techniques in Oral Health care through ongoing education and training
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Oral Health Therapy or equivalent
· Valid registration with AHPRA
· Proficient in dental hygiene procedures and techniques
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
· Passion for Oral Health and commitment to providing exceptional patient care
· A special knack for making our younger patients feel comfortable and at ease
· Desire to continuously learn and grow in your field.
