About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Coordinator/Administration who believes in building strong lasting relationships with the children and the school community.
You will assist to lead the service and your team to provide positive development in a safe, engaging environment. The ideal candidate needs to support positive social, emotional, logical thinking, moral, and life skills development; and teach social skills and nurture healthy interactions.
You will report to, and be supported by the Parent and Citizens Association (P&C), the lead Coordinator and The Scholars Group Regional Manager and experience specialist support from a diverse and caring team, as you lead community and family engagement, with children at the heart of our service philosophy.
About the program

- Learn new skills to further their development
- Be safe and supervised at all times
- Build relationships with educators in a community which is connected to but separate from the school community

- Engage in indoor and outdoor play activities planned with and for the children
- Participate in a range of developmentally appropriate options that cater for the needs and interests of all children including construction, drama, dress-ups, art and craft, cooking, quiet reading and games
About you
You will be a passionate Diploma qualified or higher educator committed to delivering a superior service for children and their parents. You will:
- Have a passion for working in the OSHC sector
- Have strong skills in guiding a team and supporting children with their behavioural needs
- Possess the ability to handle and respond to unforeseen accidents, incidents and emergencies
- Act professionally towards resolution of any conflict that may arise
- Have a solid knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place and the Education and Care National Regulations and Act
- Possess great verbal and written communication skills and can provide parents with effective feedback and discuss children’s development
- Well-developed emotional intelligence to be able to remain calm and composed at all times
- Ability to positively build effective working relationships with stakeholders
- Self-motivated, committed and bringing your best self to work
Qualifications and Licenses
- Diploma in Early Childhood/Children’s services/OSHC or equivalent
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma Qualifications
