Premier Ducts is seeking to appoint a Finance & Administration Assistant to work with our Finance Manager in our Queensland Head Office to perform all financial and payroll operations across their multi-state offices.

The Opportunity – What You’ll Do
Reporting to our Finance Manager, and providing secondary reporting to our General Manager and Managing Director, you will hold a pivotal role in the functioning of the financial movement of our organisation, while working alongside the Estimating and Production Teams, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial, compliance and reporting data.
The role will involve bookkeeping and general accounting activities and basic administration for the office, including assisting with all financial reports, forecasts, budgeting, maintaining quality control over financial transactions and reporting, and general with key responsibilities being, but not limited to:
- day-to-day general administration activity
- monthly inter-office ordering and stock accountability
- liaise with team members as required to assist with office functionality.
- day-to-day general accounting activity,
- basic reconciliations and reporting,
- assist to oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes,
- assist in processing of AP and AR functions, including payroll, STP and superannuation,
- assist to monitor customer aged debtors, manufacturing aged debtors, including claims,
- assist as needed with the timely preparation and submission of all statutory requirements including BAS, Payroll Tax Returns, and Superannuation Payments, including the preparation of information for external accountants for the annual FBT return,
- assist with the monitoring of financial procedures to ensure compliance with best practices and legal requirements,
- constant communication with your team, Finance Manager, and the General Manager to provide assistance as required.

knowledge and experience in:
- XERO
- Reckon Enterprise,
- Microsoft Suite 365
- Air Table
- SharePoint
- Google Suite
a minimum of 2 years-experience in:
- general bookkeeping,
- accounts payable and receivable, invoicing,
- payroll,
- banking, end of month reconciliation,
- cashflow, accruals,
competencies in:
- verbal and written communication skills,
- strong problem-solving skills,
- strong systems capabilities,
- exceptional attention to detail,
- excellent time management and multitasking skills,
- general and financial administration duties,
- understanding of financial principals, and accounting standards
qualifications in:
- bookkeeping / accounting
willing to:
- learn
- have fun
