Position: Educational Leader/2IC
Status: Permanent Part time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary range: $40.70 per hour (inclusive of all allowances/loadings) + super
Qualifications: Cert IV School Aged Care, Diploma in Early Childhood/ACECQA approved equivalent or above

About the service

Kununurra is a beautiful remote town located in the East Kimberley. In Kununurra, we run a lovely small service with a child-centered approach. If you’re looking for new experiences, then you’ll love working at One Tree Woothoo-woothoong thoon Ninggoowoong Dawang Children’s Service.

Selection criteria

• Minimum one (1) year’s experience in a room leader role or above
• Strong knowledge of child development and theories relating to children’s learning
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to lead a team
• Evidence of having contributed to assessment and rating at meeting or exceeding level
• Demonstrated evidence of developing and evaluating high quality programs for children in line with recognised frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to advocate for children’s rights and role model positive relationships with children

Requirements

• Eligible to work in Australia and willing to relocate to Kununurra
• Hold a Cert IV in School Aged Care or Diploma in Early Childhood/ACECQA approved equivalent or above 
• Current WA Working with Children Check
• Current National Police Clearance dated within 3 months
