About the RoleWe are seeking a part-time CGS Care Educator who is interested in creating a safe, caring, quality environment for children at our CGS Care Programme. CGS Care is an out-of-school hours care programme at Canberra Grammar School that provides a combination of indoor and outdoor activities each day and are guided by children’s interests and abilities. In this role you will provide a warm and stimulating environment for young children attending CGS Care and implement National Quality Framework practices to a high standard while contributing to the development of programs under the supervision of the Director of CGS Care.
About YouYou are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
- Well-developed skills for working both as part of a team and under supervision and direction;
- An interest and commitment to working with young children;
- Administrative and organisational skills.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
The following attributes are desirable:
- Certificate III education qualification or actively working towards a Certificate III education qualification
- Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Sound understanding of My Time Our Place Framework
- Sound understanding of the National Quality Standards and regulations
All team members at CGS are required to have:
- Appropriate qualifications
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check
- Full working rights within Australia
