About the business
Logicoat is a unique factory-based coating business in Seaford. We supply high-end pre-finished timber architectural boards and panels for commercial construction throughout Australia. We use an Automatic spray line and curtain coater and sanders, to apply the most expensive paints in Australia! We apply a lot of fire retardant coatings to protect architectural acoustic timbers for public crowd spaces.
About the role
We need a problem solving person with an eye for detail to head up our small team. You would need to oversee production, ensure people are working efficiently, implement quality control measure and manage stock levels etc. From time to to time you will need to produce small samples and colour matches for clients to review. A few times a year you may need to travel nationally to inspect projects or resolve issues on site.
The right person may front the company from time to time, meeting with clients and flying the company flag etc. Work Vehicle provided.
You would be trained in the use of multiple machines, to sand, coat, and stack timber products. We do big jobs! So there can obviously be a fair bit of timber handling required in the role and std clean up etc So you need to be fit and healthy.
A successful applicant should have great communication skills and good problem-solving abilities. We reward those who need work, show up, and apply themselves.
Skills and experience
- An ability to consider and attempt to resolve problems is must
- Painting experience
- Any Industrial process experience is helpful
- Basic carpentry skills are an advantage
- Any machine operating experience useful
- A forklift license is advantageous
